Roman Urdu and film industry

Media is the major source to spread anything all over the world. Media connected the whole world called globalization. Media is also playing a good role for the improvement of languages. Indian film industry is one of the famous industries around the world. People of different countries like to watch Indian movies. Bollywood film titles are in Roman Urdu script because most of the bollywood viewers are from the South Asia and Middle East and they speak different languages. Indian films use Hindi Language but most of the dialogues are in Urdu.  Both Hindi and Urdu speakers can understand them alike. 

 

Though Hindi is the official language of India but most of the people don’t speak Hindi, as India is the diverse linguistic landscape .So Bollywood film industry use both Hindi and Roman script to access the large number of audience. English can be written in Roman Urdu so it has become a common way of communication among those People who speak different languages. So it is favorable for the Bollywood to use Roman script for their films and sometimes they use both Urdu and Hindi script.

Pakistani media is also using Roman Urdu tittles for their films and dramas for different language speakers. Roman Urdu is a facility especially for those people who cannot read or write English. Many softwares and latest technologies are become in English language so we can use all of them via Roman Urdu, and Mobile phone’s text message is one of the big examples. People are using this writing style on the large scale which is promoting Urdu language also.
