Urdu and Communalism in Indian Muslims

Urdu is best source for communication between Pakistani and Indian Muslims. Recently an Indian famous film director Mahesh Batt has petitioned to Indian people to join hands for the rights of Urdu. He took some bold steps to re-establish Urdu language on its equitable place in India and all over the world. Mahesh’s mother was a Muslim lady and her name was shireen. She married to a Hindu Brahmin. She did not show her religion before her children because she thought that her child will confuse in dual personalities.

Mahesh wrote many articles in Hindi language. He described that how his Father made famous movies with Urdu dialogues. He got a lot of finance from those hit movies, but internally he was opposed to Urdu. Once he heard all India Radio in his home broadcasting Urdu programs. He shouted on his mother and ordered her to switch off Radio. His mother submissively switched off radio. She fulfilled all her Islamic values and she offered her prayers but she never forced her son Mahesh to adopt her religion Islam or speak Urdu language. She gave him all Hindi religious cultural values and told about Hindu myths, because she did not want to force her own religion.

After long time when Mahesh was adult and mature, he felt that he should have Muslim and Islamic culture in heritage. He liked to sport it proudly and he felt very sorry that India is not promoting Urdu learning.
Mahesh insisted and urged his people to fight for the rights of Urdu and making it common. He said that it’s a duty of government to ensure the teaching of languages at the primary and secondary levels. He said that it is essential right of all Urdu speaking children that they can get education in her mother tongue. He also urged to citizens that they all must force the government to take bold steps for re-establishing of Urdu, because Urdu is demolishing in India.
