Demolishing of Urdu is a serious issue

Language is identification of nations, a cornerstone for the distinctiveness and characteristics of the civilizations. It’s not just a vehicle of transport, the feelings and thoughts of individuals as well as nations, it also chronologies the human evolution. If as a nation we do not support our distinctive civilization against our cultural colonialism, then we will be responsible for the killing of our long centuries’ tradition of communication and meditations of our intellectuals. In spite of such an intense importance of language, Urdu which is a historical and traditional language is losing its significance, and foreign invasions have replaced Urdu and our culture.

Knock downing and death of language is not just losing its cultural values, it’s the death of millions of souls, poets , scholars ,writers and all their dissertations, Which they have produced after facing lots of hardships. Due to distortion of language we are removing our traditions, civilization and many pearls of great intellectuals from the mind of human beings forever. We are losing our identification as a distinctive nation
.
Urdu as a historical language (now national language of Pakistan) has been rulings for the centuries over Asian subcontinent and worldwide. It took lots of glory and people from all walks of life were deeply interested in the literary work of Muslims and other intellectuals of different nations. People belonging to different cultures liked and gave highly values to Urdu’s rich lexis and its well forested evolving vocabulary. Nazam, Ghazal, Afsana, prose, short story, novels and lots of other literary work all were the sources to put Urdu on the peak of glory in the past. Now due to many reasons we have loss the taste of these things and importance of Urdu on the national and international levels. British dominance in the Asian subcontinent was the major reason of knocking down Urdu language.

Now it is a need of time to arrange institutions, conferences, sessions and make some forums and plate forms in the public discourses for the revival of language. We are already lacking unity as a nation, so to rejoin the national commonality we have to take demolishing of language as a serious issue. And we have to take some useful steps for its revival on the individual and community levels. Otherwise we will disappear from the history and will destroy centuries long traditions as well.
